Authorities have new leads in Amy Wroe Bechtel disappearance

LANDER, Wyo. (AP) - FBI agents are helping local investigators determine the validity of new leads in the disappearance of Amy Wroe Bechtel, Fremont County Sheriff David King said.

They are in Lander this week helping conduct interviews and taking part in other aspects of the investigation, he said.

Bechtel disappeared July 24, 1997 while running in the mountains near Lander. A story about Bechtel that aired in April on "Unsolved Mysteries" prompted about 20 calls related to the case.
